Atelier OFFoff asks your opinion on the experimental film culture in Belgium

Since 2024, Atelier OFFoff has been active again as a project within Art Cinema OFFoff. Last year, this resulted in two workshops, film programs, a film installation and a filmmaker-in-residence with an (inter)national premiere. In 2026, Atelier OFFoff wants to take further steps to grow into a sustainable project that meets some of the needs within the current Belgian audiovisual landscape. The aim of Atelier OFFoff is to create a meeting place and a community that remains engaged over the long term, and, through activities and exchange, actively helps to shape space for experimentation within a thriving film culture. 

 

With this survey, we want to reach everyone with an interest in experimental film who feels the need to be part of such a network/community. You may be a filmmaker, artist, curator, writer, researcher, audience member, technician, or have ambitions within experimental film culture. The reasons for belonging to this community can vary, and that is what we hope to gauge through this survey. We’re listening carefully, and what you share will directly influence the next shape of the atelier.
