Liquid Light Show + Brik Tu-Tok live

By the big fish pond in De Tuin van Heden, Art Cinema OFFoff presents a liquid light show. That’s analog live cinema with handmade layers of colored oils and liquids moving over the heat of the lamp of glass slide projectors in real time.

The liquid light show will be performed by the Amsterdam-based collective Sphinx Classics that is keeping this old school tradition alive since 1969! Check out their website and instagram to see what they are doing. 

As a musical companion on this colorful trip, we invite Brik Tu-Tok – the brainchild of theatre makers Maxim Storms and Linde Carrijn. This Ghent duo mixes the theatrical with the musical in an absurd DIY universe, where weird characters sing of their inner turmoil. In the live performances, they go all out, dressed up with their eclectic hot glued-fashion. Their new, third album HOT GLUE bursts of no-nonsense energy to the beat of deviant synth pop.

As part of Heden Cinema, the open-air cinema at De Tuin van Heden that’s being curated by a different Ghent film exhibitor every Wednesday during July and August.
